What are Sundays like?

Sundays begin at 9:30 AM at Cornerstone, and there is something for everyone. Our pastor will bring forth a timely message from the Word of God in the main worship service at 9:30. There will also be special services for children (3yr to 5th grade) during the worship service. After the service, we will feature a time of fellowship and snacks/refreshments that will typically last for about 20 minutes. Following the fellowship time we will feature a discussion/ Q & A time called “Equipping the Saints” that will focus on the same theme/passage as the morning message. Pastor Dave will lead the discussion. This session will be held in lieu of a typical Sunday evening service providing two advantages to the traditional approach. One is relaxed family time on Sunday evenings. The second is an opportunity to reinforce the theme of the morning message, hopefully aiding in meditation and “renewing the mind” (Rom 12:2) by focusing on one “big idea” each Sunday rather than multiple themes that are not easily recalled. Our “Equipping the Saints” time will end at 11:30 am. Nursery will be available during the worship service.

7:00 PM @ our new location

(Note: Currently we are splitting the men and women and working through a study entitle "The Walk" that deals with everyday spiritual growth for the believer.)

Where do I go?

Our new location is at 1299 Buck Jones Road in Raleigh at the South Hills Mall complex. Parking is available in front of the building. Upon entering the building, enter the door to the right.

What do my children do?

Cornerstone will feature children’s services/ Sunday School with activities and messages for children age 3-5th grade. Emphasis will be placed on learning Biblical truths while also providing opportunities for fun and games. We will be using the “Answers Bible Curriculum” (https://answersingenesis.org/answers-bible-curriculum/why-abc) in the children’s program. According to the developers, “Answers Bible Curriculum was developed to present the gospel, beginning in Genesis, to all generations; to train believers to know, obey, and defend God’s Word; and to encourage believers to become conformed to the image of Christ.” Age specific handouts on the lessons will also be distributed to the children.

What about infants and toddlers?

We will provide a pleasant, spacious, and well-equipped nursery. Our group of caring nursery workers are eager to look after your infants and toddlers during both services.

I am not a Baptist…. May I attend services at Cornerstone?

Yes. It is our desire that anyone seeking to know more about the Lord attend our services. You do not have to be a Baptist or come from a Baptist background to attend. We make it easy for anyone wanting to know more about Christ, the Bible, and church by focusing all of our teaching and preaching on the Word of God. You will find our members warm, friendly, and wanting to welcome you to worship with us.
